Presentation of the UCASAL Scientific Journals Portal


The Portal of Periodic Publications of the Catholic University of Salta gathers the scientific journals that are produced by the different faculties and schools and it constitutes an additional channel of visibility of its scientific production, both internal and external, in order to facilitate the exchange of knowledge between different study centers.


Thus, the formative areas of the University that create their scientific journals are committed to the production and circulation of knowledge and encourage the outward and return path that sustains, among other factors, the progress of research.


EUCASA (Ediciones Universidad Católica de Salta) pursues, among its main objectives, the revision and sustained improvement of all journals that integrate its portal and that it manages through the Open Journal Systems. In this sense, actions are permanently carried out to optimize the features offered by the digital edition platform in order to increase the editorial quality, as well as the visibility of each title and article published, working according to the main regional and international quality standards defined by accredited organizations for scientific and academic journals.


Each journal includes, in its website, a specific and updated page in which the evaluations, indexing and registration of each one are communicated, thus offering organized and publicly accessible information about each database where the journals are presented. In this way, readers and authors can consult and learn about the progress and results of the application of the aforementioned editorial policy, and the contributions that EUCASA undertakes for the dissemination in open access of its research, as well as the scientific knowledge published in each issue.


Journals

  • Cuadernos Universitarios

    Cuadernos Universitarios is a scientific publication of the Catholic University of Salta, Argentina, created in 2008 and published under the imprint EUCASA (Ediciones Universidad Católica de Salta).


    It is an annual journal, focused on higher education issues, in our regional and national context, in dialogue with international contexts, aimed at a specialized audience in the mentioned subject, and that may be, also, of general interest. Its approach is multidisciplinary, since it aims to approach the subject matter from different disciplinary fields and areas of interest.


    It was originally created with a plural content —heterogeneous, multidisciplinary— and it hosted articles from different fields of science, since it was the only academic publication generated in this university (2008-2018).

  • Cuadernos de Ingeniería

    Cuadernos de Ingeniería is a scientific publication of the Faculty of Engineering of the Catholic University of Salta, Argentina, created in 2006 and published under the imprint EUCASA (Ediciones Universidad Católica de Salta).


    It is an annual journal, which contains scientific articles, technological developments, review articles, essays and book reviews on topics related to the disciplinary field of Engineering in all its branches, including topics such as engineering education, the performance of the profession, ethics and values in engineering, the interrelationships between engineering and politics, culture, economy, society and the environment.


    It is an open access journal published under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike license.

  • Omnia Journal

    OMNIA. Derecho y sociedad is the scientific journal of the Faculty of Legal Sciences of the Catholic University of Salta, Argentina, created in 2018 and published under the imprint EUCASA (Ediciones Universidad Católica de Salta).


    It is an biannual publication that gathers collaborations on legal, political and social sciences issues. It contains scientific articles, essays, texts on jurisprudence and doctrine and book reviews. All of them are submitted to an external peer evaluation process. All writings are unpublished and original.


    This publication has been created with the purpose of promoting the dissemination of the knowledge generated in the Faculty of Legal Sciences as a product of its substantive functions of research, teaching and extension, as well as favoring the construction of bonds with other national and international institutions.

  • Teks del Sud

    Teks del Sud is a scientific journal of the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism of the Catholic University of Salta, Argentina, created in 2019 and published under the imprint EUCASA (Ediciones Universidad Católica de Salta). It is an annual publication, which contains scientific articles and essays, popular science notes, bibliographical reviews, case studies and teaching experiences. Its works are unpublished and original, and are submitted to an external peer evaluation process.


    Teks del Sud provides a platform for discussion, reflection and exploration, integrating contributions from the fields of project, object and technological design, environment, habitat, urbanism, development, landscape and history, with particular emphasis on the South American context.


    This publication has been created with the purpose of promoting the dissemination of the scientific and academic production of the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism, as well as facilitating the exchange and articulation with other national and international institutions.

  • Intersticios

    Intersticios is the scientific journal of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences of the Catholic University of Salta, Argentina, created in 2020 and published under the imprint EUCASA (Ediciones Universidad Católica de Salta). 


    The name Intersticios obeys to a play of meanings between its definition, "the space that exists between two places or between two moments" (RAE), and the possibility of inhabiting those spaces, of bringing everyday life into dialogue with the academic. Its main objective is to make topics of the social and humanistic sciences visible, and to enable a reflection space on processes and representations that fit in these interstices or fissures that will reflect situations, facts, realities that may escape the academicist eye.   


    Intersticios also addresses issues related to teaching, professional performance, ethics and values, and the interrelations between social sciences and politics, culture, economics, society and the environment.  

  • Themis

    Themis (ISSN 3072-7162) es la revista académica de la Facultad de Ciencias Jurídicas de la Universidad Católica de Salta, Argentina, creada en el año 2024 y publicada en la órbita de la Facultad a partir de las contribuciones intelectuales que aportan los estudiantes de las carreras.
