La emancipación por matrimonio en el Código Civil y Comercial de la Nación

Abstract

This article analyzes the legal regulation concerning minors’ emancipation through marriage. It points out the requirements set forth in the new Argentinian Civil and Commercial Code, passed by Act 26994, as regards emancipation through marriage and the consequences on the emancipated youngster´s legal capacity. A comparison with the provisions of the Civil Code written by Vélez Sarsfield, as modified by Acts 17711; 23515 and 26579 is made as well.
