Abstract

This work starts from the basic principles of community psychology
and reflects on the opportunity of transforming an extension project
into an operational instrument in the teachinglearning process of
the role of the community psychologist and his/her intervention modalities, while at the same time fulfilling its
fundamental objective: the articulation between the
academy and the community where it is inserted.
In this collective construction, the students become
part of a unique learning process: they can glimpse
the social reality of the province by working with the
community from the beginning, imagining a solution
to the problems felt, analyzing the real possibilities,
planning, acquiring tools for the specificity of
working with different groups, defining concrete
and sustained objectives over time, building in
practice an ethical and professional positioning for
working with communities.
