La situación de los derechos del niño en la Argentina y en Salta

Abstract

This article is part of the research Project «The role of local and international actors in the design of public policies to mitigate the situation of children living on the streets in the city of Salta». This paper aims to describe the actions taken by the Argentine government in order to protect the rights of children and adolescents in compliance with the provisions of the Convention on the Rights of the Child, adopted in 1989. In addition, the situation of childhood and adolescence in Salta will be described and the level of adequacy of the Province of Salta as regards the National legislation on the subject will be discussed as well.
